The truck driving industry is growing and has continued to grow for many years at a very rapid rate. Well-trained commercial truck drivers are needed to keep the country's freight moving. Freight is needed from the West coast to the East coast, from the southern tip of Florida all the way to Canada, and the primary way to transport freight is commercial trucks. Our Commitment to YouThe management and teaching staff at SEC have more than one hundred years of combined experience in the education and transportation industry. We are committed to our students, and assure you that you will have the basic skills the you need to begin your career as a truck driver in an entry level position, upon successful completion of our 200-hour program. TrainingThe class instructor assists you in passing your CDL written exams, logbook procedure, trip planning, and safety. Our yard instructors help you to learn pre-trip, alley dock, sightside/blindside, and straight-line backing maneuvers. Road instructors take you on trips to teach you shifting, driving under different conditions, and how to safely operate a commercial vehicle. Refresher CourseWe also offer a Refresher Course for CDL licensed drivers who are returning to the trucking industry. |
